There is a big world out there (although some would say it’s a small world) with so many hidden secrets, it’s impossible to visit them all in one’s lifetime. After working in Australia in the summer of 2001, I developed the travel bug and became a keen and avid traveller – when finances permit! For a 24 year old, I have managed to visit a reasonable number of places, but I am aware my visits still amount to a small proportion of the world and I know I still “aint seen nothing yet!”

After visiting five of seven continents, it is obvious no two places in the world are the same. For example, Australasia presents a rather laid back and carefree lifestyle when USA appears to be self-absorbed. Africa, on the other hand, comes across as rather intimidating and Asia, rather hectic. I don’t intend my summary of each continent to be a true reflection because like I said, I have only visited a small proportion of the world. Each continent is very big, and I have not explored it from one end to the other. I am a *slightly* better judge of Europe because coming from Europe myself, I have been able to visit various countries and it’s hard to use one word to describe Europe as a whole because it differs from region to region. The same would apply to other continents I’m sure, but for now, I’m just going by what I have seen and experienced.
